Chapter 2: The shiny in question.
Shimmer opened his eyes to see the morning sunlight filtering in through his bedroom window. He stretched, yawning, before walking over to a mirror and beginning to set his silver fur straight. He stared at himself in the mirror for a minute once he was done, looking at the reflection. His perfect sliver fur, every minute or so giving off little sparkles. He had never been grateful of this fair and beautiful fur coat. He remembered ever since he was little everyone around him just ooooohhh-d and aaah-d at his fur whenever he was around. His siblings and parents were better, but he could still tell that they all wished for a fur coat like his.
